Valerie Jean Gibbs Thomas, 65, a native of New Bern of Jacksonville, North Carolina passed on Friday, December 9, 2022 at Randolph Health, Asheboro, North Carolina.

Her service is 11:00 AM, Saturday, December 17, 2022 at Oscar's Memorial Chapel.

She is survived by her husband, Leroy Thomas of the home; daughter, Katara Gibbs, Winston-Salem, NC; three grandchildren. Myeisha Gibbs, Ron-Deja Gibbs and Rudy McRae; three great grand grandchildren; brother, Glendale W. Gibbs III, Raleigh, NC and her sister, Priscilla Ward, Bern, NC.
