Lionel’s Obituary

Lionel Horatio Brown, was born January, 25th, 1965, to the late Ulysses and Frances Brown. The first of his mother’s three children. He graduated from Springstead High School, in 1983. His love for all things BASKETBALL was well known throughout his school, life and family. After high school, he joined the US Army, where he served as a Medical Technician. He was deployed with his unit, in support of “Operation Desert Shield” and subsequently “Operation Desert Storm”. He served on the front lines, taking care of wounded comrades, all while defending off enemy fire. He was honorably discharged. He remained in the medical field, and was employed by Springbrook Behavioral Hospital. He loved his job as mental health tech, and activities director. He lived a dedicated life to Christ, and was busy serving in the house of the Lord! He was installed as a Deacon. He served in the ministry, up until he was no longer able to so. Life does come full circle. After being reunited with his children, his loving and dutiful daughters, took care of him; his every need or desire, they fulfilled…up until his last breath! He transitioned, in the company of the people that loved him most…his children and their mom. He received his healing, 10 December 2022, on the other side!

He is preceded in death by his parents: Ulysses “Bill” and Frances Brown! Sister: Diane. He leaves to cherish his love and memories, his sons Daniel and Fredrick. Daughters: Leandra and Monica Brother: Mark (Loretta) Sisters: Lealer, Patricia (Derwin), Sonja (Michael), and Sylvia (Tracy). Uncles: Leon (Mary); Robert(Emily); Clinton (Mary) Aunts: Marie, Mary(Robert), Marjorie, Gladys, Marie, Flora A host of nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. A very special friend and caregiver and mother of his children :Carrie Britten Brother/Best Friends: Randy Johnson, Tony Brackins
