Obituary For Elder Harold Lewis Durden

Celebration of Life for Elder Harold Lewis Durden of Flovilla, Georgia will be held on Thursday December 29, 2022, at 11:00 AM at Now Faith Apostolic Church, 3406 Rex Road, Rex, Georgia 30273. Pastor Roman Tarplin, Presider and Rev. Douglas Thomas, Officiant.

Remains will be in placed in-state at 10:00 AM.
Interment: Kennedy Memorial Gardens 2500 River Road Ellenwood, GA 30294.
Repast: Now Faith Apostolic Church, 3406 Rex Road, Rex, Georgia 30273

Public viewing and visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 28, 2022, 12:00 PM until 8:00 PM and the family will receive guests from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Henderson Funeral Services, 744 Brownlee Road, Jackson, GA 30233.

Elder Harold Durden leaves to cherish his memories to his children, Erik (Kim), Jason, Jennifer, Brett (Taylor), and Kirsten Tyler Mahon; five grandchildren, Jamie Taylor, Charlie DeAndra, Jr., Ibenez Krystal, Andre Michael, and Brooklyn Christine. A host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

I was truly spoiled by Pop. I remember coming home and telling him I wanted to buy an electric guitar to relieve some stress. (It's something about the sound of the screeching noise that helps me let off steam) anyway he told me he had one to give me. It was this beautiful pearl color guitar. I said to myself. "This man must really love me!" But that's the kind of man he was, you showed your love through your action. Pop and Mama D truly loved me. I missed them both so much. I'm gonna try and remember alot of the songs he taught me and play our CD like crazy. I'm sad to see him leave us but happy that he is at peace. Love Kim

I miss you Poppop, the reason I'm a singer now is because the time and love you put into my voice and my dream. I always loved the way you played guitar and many other instruments.
