I had the wonderful pleasure of working for Mr. Mallory at Mallory Realty while I was a student at ASU. He was not only a great boss, but he was a great mentor, a source of great jokes, a provider of great dinners (The Pub), an encourager, and eventually my frat brother too. You left an amazing wake for us to treasure here on earth. Heaven has gained another great gift. Rest well, Sir. Erin Blount

On the behalf of the Gift of Life Foundation Board of Directors, Executive Director, and staff we send our sincerest condolences. Mr. Mallory served on the Gift of Life Foundation Board of Directors with love and compassion for the people and the community for many years. One of the more memorable moments as a Board of Director was dressing up as Santa Claus for the families and children every year. In 2018, all of the Gift of Life staff watched Mr. Mallory as he gave a $2.00 bill to each child. When asked why a $2.00 bill he informed one of the employees that the bill is unique and so was each child. He saw something special in each individual and never hesitated to show it. The Gift of Life Foundation will miss Mr. Mallory. We honor him for his amazing service.

I am deeply saddened by the passing of Chester. He was a guide post in my life and I hope that don't drift asea with this passing. I've known him since the 60s when Carlton Philpott introduced us. He was the kind of guy that welcomed you to his home, and to the wider Montgomery community with warth and sincerety. I never bought a home from him so I didn't know him as a real estate agent though I visited his office many times. I knew him as as a transient military member, who spent three tours at Maxwell Air Force Base. But our relationship was more than transient as we spoke many times a year, sometimes monthly. We shared many discussions, some as mundane as our health and family, while others were as weighty as national security policy. I don't know that many people appreciate how much he supported the military presence in Montgomery, more specifically the Air Force. We spoke many times after his return from national community-liaison trips to Air Force facilities. So Shirley and I send condolences to the family, Sam and other siblings, plus the rest of his beloved immediate family. They are all in my prayers. But very special words of support to Earlene -- I will miss him as much as you do. Col and Mrs J D Wells

My sincerest condolences to all who have been emotionally impacted by the passing of my friend and frat brother Chester D. Mallory. In that regard, we all have a common relationship. Chester Mallory was a prince of a fellow and a most valued and respected friend to all who were privileged to meet and know him. As a former co-worker and business client, I admired his intellect, his business acumen and his civic contributions. I will sorely miss his frequent phone calls, his sage business advice and most of all his jovial manner. His death leaves a void in so many of our hearts. His admirers were legion. He was a rare man among men. Rest in peace my brother. Charlie Varner, Jr. (A-Phi-A)
