Obituary For Kenneth Joseph Buckley

Kenneth Joseph Buckley

June 24,1960 – December 19,2022

Kenneth Joseph Buckley, 62 of Byram, Mississippi passed away on Monday, December 19, 2022, after an ongoing illness. Ken was affectionately known as “Kenny B” or “Uncle Kenny B” to all who knew him. He was born on June 24, 1960. Ken was known for his big warm smile and his loving, teasing manner. Most people were drawn to him because he was down to earth and approachable. Ken loved people but he would get you straight if it were needed. Just ask his nieces, nephews, and JoAnne.

He leaves behind a devoted wife of 41 years, Pattie Marie Allen Buckley, whom he married on December 5th, 1981, his loving mother, Mrs. Lynnell Turner, and mother-in law Mrs. Marie Allen.

Ken graduated from Jim Hill High School in 1978, where he was known for his outstanding moves on the basketball court along with his teammate and dear friend Bernard Pepper. He dedicated his life to Jehovah God and was baptized on July 12th, 1975. His service to Jehovah is what he treasured most in his life. He spent many years actively preaching and teaching individuals about his loving God, Jehovah. Even during the pandemic, he stayed active in his ministry by means of texting, phones call, and writing letters each week.

He served as an elder and loving shepherd until his death. Although Ken and Pattie did not have children, he was a spiritual father to many. Ken had a special and individual relationship with each one of his nieces, nephews, and many of the young ones in the congregation. He will be dearly missed by them all.

Ken was proceeded in death by his father Richard Turner Sr., John Bowens (brother), Carolyn Watts (sister), Richard Turner, Jr., (brother), and Hurley Turner (brother). He is survived by his siblings: Sarah Denson, Elijah Buckley (Mary), Shelton Buckley (Janice), James Dean Buckley (Barbara), AJ Young (Theresa), Audrey Ann Jones (a special spiritual sister), Barbara Baylis (Brinson), Donald Buckley (Lillian), his twin JoAnne Palmer (Richard), Douglas Turner (Rashedia), Jacquline Turner, Lynn Bateaste (Henry), Wade Turner, Zellie Turner, Clementine Turner, and Margaret Luckett (Hudson).

Ken will be truly missed by all his brothers and sisters, relatives, friends, and acquaintances. As only Kenny B. could say “I will see you Critters soon.”

I send my deepest sympathy to my spiritual family especially Pattie. Ken (KB) will be truly ,truly missed. There are no words I can say at this moment to ease the pain of losing our beloved ,Brother, Spiritual Father, Friend and so much more. But we have a hope ,that's of the day, when we all will welcome our brother and all our loved ones, back from this enemy, to a beautiful new world. So while we wait until that day comes, we will cherish the love, memories and the laughter's over a good chicken foot game. My thoughts and prayers are with you. CW
