CHURCH POINT – Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 31, 2022, at Our Mother of Mercy Catholic Church in Church Point, LA for Mr. Joseph Ricky Gibson, Sr. 67, who entered eternal rest on Monday, December 20, 2022 in Church Point, LA. Interment will be in Our Mother of Mercy Catholic Cemetery #2.

Fr. Pius will be officiating the funeral mass.

Mr. Gibson’s memories are being cherished by: his son, Joseph Ricky Gibson, Jr. of Rayne, LA; three daughters, Charlene Landry and Kizzy Landry, both of Church Point, LA and Rochelle Reed of Crowley, LA; four brothers, Patrick Gibson, Sr. of Church Point, LA, Charles Gibson, Jr. of Lafayette, LA, Joshua Gibson of Crowley, LA and Chana Heavy Gibson of Church Point, LA; three sisters, Rhoda Manuel of Eunice, LA, Karen Gibson of Church Point, LA and Allison Gibson Bunn of Nashville, TN; ten grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Mr. Gibson is preceded in death by his parents, Charles Roger Gibson, Sr. and Mary Agnes Gibson.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 31, 2022 from 8.00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at Our Mother of Mercy Catholic Church. A rosary will be recited at 10:00 a.m. Words of condolences may be expressed at fordandjosephfh.com
