Evelyn Taylor was born on March 6, 1942 in Turner County, Georgia to the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert and Susie Taylor. On Wednesday morning, December 28, 2022, the Lord dispatched His angels to transport Evelyn to Him and at that moment she entered into eternal peace. She graduated from Eureka High School, Ashburn, Georgia and Albany State College, Albany, Georgia where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Music Education. Her career as an educator began at Sparta High School as a music and choir instructor, and throughout her career she introduced her students to sweet melodies for many years. Evelyn joined the New Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Ashburn, Georgia where she actively participated in the choir. She also served the church by playing the piano during Easter services. Evelyn was a faithful member and remained active in church activities until her health started to decline. She was preceded in death by her mother (Susie) and father (Robert Taylor, Jr.) and two sisters (Valerie Taylor Hardy and Edith Taylor Hudson). Evelyn leaves to cherish her memory brothers Dr. Robert Taylor, III of Albany, Georgia and Donald Taylor (Saundrette) of Marianna, Florida, and sister Dr. Sharon Taylor Wilson (Jerry) of Desoto, Texas. She also leaves to cherish her life a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and endeared friends. Evelyn had a special bond with her entire family and always demonstrated unconditional love and loyalty.
