On December 27, 2022, God called Mrs. Ethel Griffin home. Ethel was born on October 26, 1957 to Arthur & Magalene Smith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings: Arthur Smith, Jr., Merlene Smith and Robert Smith.

She joined Mt. Zion Baptist Church at an early age. Ethel received her education in Greensboro. Her hobbies included: fishing, cooking and planting her flowers.

She leaves to cherish her memories her children: Angela (Jose Sr) Vargas, Tokesha Smith, Bryce (Daniel Sr.) Johnson, Courtney Griffin, Jessica Griffin, Benita Griffin and Dedrick Griffin; fifteen grandchildren; four great-grand-children; her siblings: Willie Smith, Rosa Smith, Reba West, Gertru Porter, Magalene Lawrence and Pauline Wallace; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
