Mrs. Mary Ann Hopper Galloway was born January 16, 1935, to the late John and Sophonia Hopper in Rockingham County. On Tuesday evening, December 27, 2022, God dispatched an angel to carry Mary Ann to eternal rest.
Mary attended the local schools in Rockingham County and was a housewife and seasonal worker. She excepted Christ at an early age as her personal Saviour. Mary was a member of Greater Power Deliverance Outreach Ministry under the leadership of Bishop Earl Settle. She served as the mother of the church at her passing.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Leonard Galloway, brother, Rev. John Hopper and her oldest son, Melvin Carter.
She leaves to cherish her memory: her daughter; Mary Lowe of Madison, NC, sons; Tony Carter, Henry Galloway, Tommy Galloway, Michael Galloway and Donte Galloway. Daughter-in-laws; Felicia Galloway and Sally Carter, 12 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, sisters, Malinda Lowe and Margaret Roberts along with a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
