Obituary For Alice Phillips

Alice Bryant Phillips, 66, passed away Tuesday, December 27, 2022.

Funeral service 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 8, 2023 at Hunter-Odom Funeral Service 121 S. Fairview Road, Rocky Mount, NC. 27801 with Dr. Joseph A. Bryant, officiating. Burial will follow at Phillips Square (Morning Star Baptist Church, Battleboro, NC).

Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to service.

Dr. Bryant & Family, There are times when there are too few words left to heal us, when what we wish for is to be carried, when all we have left is the hope that tomorrow will be a gentler place to land than today. It was with great sadness that we learned of Sister Alice Phillip's passing. Please accept our heartfelt condolences. May you find solace in Psalms 121 and lift your eyes unto the hills from which cometh your help, knowing this is of eternal significance. To the Bryant and Phillips families, We were blessed to know Alice and enjoyed being in her company usually when my brother in- law and my sister were in town ( Dr. joseph A. Bryant & Mrs. Dora P. Bryant. However, down through the years we would meet up with her in church or in the community. I loved her beautiful smile and we did't mind taking about the goodness of God. She was a wonderful friend, and was certainly a strong christian, minister, who loved her family and others. May the sweet memories and prayers of the saints comfort all of you at this difficult time. And yes, look up to the hills as God is able to carry you through.. I just want to offer my condolences to the Phillips and Bryant family I worked with Alice for over 40 years she was a woman that loved the Lord. She helped me so much in my walk with God.She gave me some advise I still talk about today now as a pastor she helped me reach my assignment in Jesus.I am forever grateful for the God that was in her.
