Mr. Ralph Lawrence, 81, of 206 Falls St. Lawndale, NC passed away on Monday, January 2, 2023 at his residence. He was born on June 20, 1941 in Cleveland County, NC to the late Emma Bell Lawrence and the late J.D. Oates.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, John Henry Lawrence and Gary Lawrence.

He is survived by a son, Ralph Tyrone Taylor (Wanda) of Shelby, NC; a step-son, Anthony McClain (Ingrid) of Far Rockaway, NY; a sister, Bertha Tivey (Ronald) of Atlanta, GA; a brother, Arthur Lawrence (Trixie) of Greensboro, NC; grandchildren, Tyreece Taylor, Tyrell Taylor, Quinston Taylor; Shantell Notice (Paul), Jessica Taylor, Brandy Bell and Barrick Davenport; a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 9, 2023 at 1:00 PM at First Baptist Church in Lawndale. Burial will take place at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 PM until 1:00 PM on Monday and at other times at the home The service will be livestreamed starting at 12:45PM.
