Obituary For Rev. Edgar Lee Jackson

Rev. Edgar Lee Jackson, 100, of Prentiss, Mississippi passed away on Friday, December 30, 2022 at his residence.

Rev. Jackson is the son of the late Matt and Emma Jackson. He was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church for 80 years. He was a United States Army Veteran, retired from the Jeff Davis Co-Op, and enjoyed farming, watching tv, reading the Bible, and serving as a minister.

Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, January 5, 2023 at the Ruby K. Johnson Chapel, Prentiss, Mississippi at 11am. Interment will be in the Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Prentiss, Mississippi.

He is survived by: sons, Jafus Jackson, Prentiss, MS; Willie Jackson, Chicago, IL; daughters, Classie Chaney, Prentiss, MS; Edna Davis, New Hebron, MS; 21 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; 30 great, great-grandchildren.

Visitation is Wednesday, January 4, 2023 at Johnson Funeral Home, 1-6pm.
