Obituary For Mary Helen Davis

The funeral services for the late Mrs. Mary Davis, who departed this life on Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at Navicent Atrium Medical Center in Macon, Georgia, will be held on Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. from the Greater St. Luke Baptist Church in Ashburn, Georgia. Burial will follow in the Red Oak Church Cemetery in Warwick, Georgia. Mrs. Mary Helen Davis was born on August 12, 1949 in Worth County, Georgia to Mrs. Ardene Rowe Chevers and the late Mr. Ulysses Chevers.

Mary was educated in the Turner County Public School System, where she played basketball and softball. She graduated from Eureka High School in 1967.

Mary worked at the Coats & Clark plant in Albany, Georgia, until she retired from there.

Mary was very athletic in her earlier years. She was a humble and very hard-working woman who loved to get a laugh. If you knew Mary, you knew how much she enjoyed spending time with her mother, and the unconditional love she had for grandkids.

On Tuesday, January 3, 2023, Mary answered the call from her Heavenly Father at Atrium Health Navicent The Medical Center in Macon, Georgia. Her husband, Arthur Lee “Jack” Davis, and her daughter, Angel Denise Davis Spears, both have preceded her in death.

Mary leaves to cherish her memories her children, Eric James Davis, Shelia Davis; her grandchildren, NyShawn Davis, Nyeisha Davis, Uamoree Davis, Kadedra Davis; her great grandchildren, Karielle Laster, Emma Knight, Jamoni Cooper, Aaliyah Davis; Josiah Hall, Jordan Davis; her mother, Ardene Chevers; her sisters, Gloria Chever, Albert Chever, both of Atlanta, Georgia; her brothers, Fredrick Chever , Ulysses Chever, Robert Chever, all of Ashburn, Georgia, Patrick Chever of Nashville, Tennessee, Melvin (Peggy) Chever of Cordele, Georgia, Calvin (Emma Jean) Chever of Albany, Georgia, Solomon (Salome) Rowe of Atlanta, Georgia; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who loved her dearly.
