Larryssa Mychelle Peoples, 25, transitioned from this life and gained her heavenly wings all too soon. Larryssa was born on July 24, 1997 to the union of Larry and Reschalle Peoples in Chicago, Illinois. She accepted Christ as her personal Savior at the tender age of nine. Larryssa was a graduate of Merrillville High School and later received formal training and a certification in Pharmacy Technology. One of her greatest passions and she often took great pride in was her culinary skills. She loved to prepare food for her family, and dance and sing. Larryssa was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents the late Erma Jean Powe and Clarence Jenkins Sr. and paternal grandparents Jesse and Clotee Peoples Sr. Larryssa leaves to cherish and honor her memories a bubbly and adorable daughter Meghan Peoples, her loving and supportive parents Reschalle and Larry Peoples; Three sisters Shakeyla (Thomas) Roberts, Hillary (Joshua) Cooke both of Horn Lake, MS and Nikita Peoples of Jacksonville, FL.; Three brothers LaMarius (Rita) Failes of Harker Height TX, Larry Peoples Jr. of New York, NY, and Eric Shawn McElroy of Chicago, IL. Five uncles Melvin, Charles, and Jesse of Chicago, IL Johnny (Barbara) Williams of Byhalia, MS, Clarence Jenkins Jr. of Memphis, TN, and Gregory West Sr. (Kimberly) Six aunts Anissa Ross of Jackson, MS, Rosemary and Inez both of Chicago, IL, Lynn (Roger) Depriest Mt. Juliet, TN, Brenda (David) Burnett and Angela LaFrance (Jared) both of Memphis, TN. One great uncle Joseph (Jean) Jenkins of Memphis, TN, and a Great great aunt Ethel Cypress of Cordova, TN, Godmother Michelle Glenn of Cleveland, MS. Two Godbrothers Dennis Lawson, and Gregory West Jr. both of Merrillville, IN. Eight nieces Justice, Jamaya, E’liyah, Aubrey, Amaya, Amari, Annaleicia, Janayla; 8 nephews Thomas III., E’lias, Jamare’a, Joshua Jr., Jordan, Jace, Liam, and Eric Jr. and a host of cousins, friends and love ones.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 7, 2023 from 10:00am until 10:55am and homegoing service to begin immediately afterwards at 11:00am at Brown Baptist Church 980 E.Stateline Rd. Southaven, MS 38671. Interment to follow at church cemetery.
