Sharon graduated from Fuquay-Varina High School, class of 1989. During her high school years, she played basketball, and baseball, and served on the homecoming court her sophomore, junior, and senior years. In 1990, Sharon was offered a job at Fidelity Bank by former Mayor John Byrne, and from that opportunity, she continued to serve the Fuquay community as one of the greatest bank tellers for over thirty years. During this time, she built a great rapport with her customers whether it was remembering their birthdays or making sure their children left with a great treat. In 2014, she helped bring First Bank to the Fuquay community, and without her expertise and knowledge, the bank would not have been as successful in the community as it is today. During her time with First Bank, she received an award “Service Excellent Champions” which is the highest honor that First Bank awards to any employee. This is a multitude award that less than 5% of the total workforce has received.
