Obituary For Peggy Ann Maynard

MS. PEGGY ANN MAYNARD - Age 73, of Dalton, Georgia passed away Friday, January 13, 2023. She was born November 6, 1949 in Chatsworth, Georgia to the late Levi Maynard, Sr. and Margarie Bonds Maynard McMeans. She was preceded by her brothers Charles Maynard, Levi Maynard, Jr., Umar Abdul Rahman (Roy Harris), and Roland Ray “Bo” Maynard. She was a graduate of Dalton High School Class of 1968 and a member of Vick’s Apostolic Pure Holiness Church.

Survivors are her loving son, Patrick Lavern Baker; sisters, Gloria (Gregory) Newkirk, Greta Vinson; brothers, Ollie Harris, Jr., Arthur Harris, and Anthony Harris; best friend, Robert Price; three grandchildren, Hylley Bates, Tevin Whisenant, Kobi Baker; great grandchildren, Crimson Bates, Nora Hardin, Micha Lee Whisenant; devoted uncle, Willis Baker; nieces, nephews; dear cousin, Eva Lou Rivers, a host of cousins, relatives, special friend, Pamela Snowden and other loving friends.

Homegoing Celebration will be on Saturday, January 21, 2023 at 1:00 P. M. at the Willis Funeral Home Chapel, 2011 Martin L. King, Jr., Blvd., Dalton, Georgia 30721 with Pastor Detria Smith as Eulogist and Dr. Jerry Jones as Presider. Her remains will lie in state at the funeral home on Friday after 11:00 A. M. The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 6:00 – 7:30 P. M. at the funeral home. Interment, West Hill Cemetery. Arrangements by Willis Funeral Home, Inc., Dalton, Georgia.
