Obituary For Vearmell N. Youngblood

Mrs. Vearmell Norris Youngblood, 82, of Prentiss, Mississippi passed away on Friday, January 5, 2023 at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center, Jackson, Mississippi.

She is the daughter of the late Pleasy and Mariah Norris. She was a member of Prentiss First Missionary Baptist Church where she served as pianist, Sunday School teacher, Baptist Training Union and Mission. She also served as pianist at South Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.

Mrs. Youngblood was a retired Certified Nurse Assistant who loved sewing, quilting, playing piano and spending time with family and friends.

Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, January 21, 2023 at Prentiss First Missionary Baptist Church at 11am. Interment will be in the church cemetery.

She is survived by: sons, Troy Youngblood of Madison, MS, Ronald Youngblood and Rev. Kevin Youngblood both of Prentiss, MS; daughters, Latonya Polk of Flora, MS and Sonya Presley of Madison, MS; sister, Mary A. Jacobs of Memphis, TN; grandchildren: 13; great-grandchildren: 6.

Visitation will be Friday, January 20, 2023 at Johnson Funeral Home, 1-6pm; family hour, 6-7pm and Saturday at the church, 10-11am.
