Andrew Jerome Shipp- Age 71.

Andrew Jerome Shipp was born June 11, 1951, in Nashville Tennessee to the late Idella Shipp Primm and Andrew Jackson Gilbert. He was reared by his grandparents, the late Lillie Mae Shipp and Thomas J. Shipp in Williamsport, TN (Maury County) where he attended school. Lovingly called "Doc" or "Drew." Andrew made his transition on January 12, 2023, after an extended illness. He was a self-taught mechanic, where he fixed many things. He loved working with his hands. He was a truck driver, driving across many states transporting furniture and equipment to businesses and families. Andrew worked for his uncle, Thomas R. Shipp for many years at Shipp Moving Company, later becoming the owner. He employed many men who couldn't get jobs in other places. He followed in his uncles’ footsteps. 'The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord.' Andrew followed his cousins of the Williamsport Riders Club to various cities and places as they rode Horses and Mulls in parades. He drove his camper full of his Rhymes and Blues old school music and food. Andrew loved to cook Barbeque Ribs even though he was a vegetarian. He loved to make others happy whether with food or drinks. Andrew also loved taking pictures, fishing and riding his motorcycle. Andrew was preceded in death by his Mother Idella Shipp Primm, Father, Andrew Jackson Gilbert, Grandparents, Lillie Mae Shipp and Thomas J. Shipp, Sister, Gwen Barkley, Nephews, Tyrone Primm & Thuron Standard and Devoted and Loving Companion, Imogene Corley Andrew leaves to cherish his memory by devoted daughters, Ulina Holt, Andrea (Victor) Howard, and Kola (Anthony) Woods, a devoted family, Brothers, Kenneth (Janice) Shipp, James (Patricia) Primm, Raymond Primm, John (Anna) Primm, Richard Primm, Andrew Gilbert, Fitzgerald (Wanda) Gilbert, Sisters, Brenda Shipp, Gloria Johnson, Angela Anderson, Joyce (Duane) Thomas, Sandra (Ted) Standard, Deborah Durham, Aretha Gilbert, Aunt Delois Long, Smyrna TN, Grandchildren, Jamilliah and Jasmine Holt, Shabrittany Mcelrath, A’Yannah and Da’Mario Sweeney, Sinqueta Davis, Necole Norman and Anthony Woods Jr. Several great grandchildren, Good Friend, Robert Jetton & Anthony Wade and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends to cherish his memory.
