GLORIA HARRIS PAUL was born on September 20, 1943 in Boydton, VA to Catherine and Raven Harris. God called her home on January 7, 2023 at her home in Newark, NJ.

Gloria graduated from West Side High School in Newark, NJ. After high school she continued her education at St. Peter’s University then went on to work various jobs until she found her home at the NJSEA from 1978 to 2015.

Her family knew her as a loving, kind, and caring mother and grandmother. She loved taking vacations with her family and going shopping. Gloria stayed on top of all the new house appliances and new gadgets. Her home was the place to be. Everybody wanted to hang at Gloria’s house. Her home was the place everyone went to if they needed to escape from problems, relax, or just a place to unwind and drink wine. Gloria will truly be missed but never forgotten.

Gloria leaves to mourn her passing and to cherish her memories her children- Evelyn, William, Kim, and Erica. Her grandchildren- Devia, Jabril, Jamil, Deshaun, Tamia. Siblings- Freddie and Bennie, and a host of great grandkids, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends
