Ms. Kimbaya Antionette Hampton was born on December 12, 1978 in Ashburn, Georgia to the Mrs. Laverne Hampton and the late Billy Johnson.
Kimbaya attended school in the Turner County Public School System. She was a member of the Turner County High School Marching Band, where she played the trombone. She graduated from Turner County High School in 1998. Kimbaya furthered her education by attending Central Georgia Technical College where she received an Associate Degree in Business Management in 2016, and had received a Bachelor’s Degree in Management from University of Phoenix. She worked at H&R Block in Warner Robins, Georgia.
During the last years of Kimbaya’s life, she lived a humble, peaceful life surrounded by her family and friends. Kimbaya’s journey upon this earthly realm came to a close on Wednesday, January 18, 2023 at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia. Her father preceded her in death.
Kimbaya is survived by her children, Kimaaj Graddic, Iluv Graddic; a loving mother, Laverne Hampton (Frank Saxon); a very special bonus father, Randolph White; three sisters, Quenisha White, Marquita White, Jakhara Hampton;; a special auntie, Mrs. Jennie Merriweather; a special and close friend, Jermark Basley; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives, her high school class of ’98, and other friends.
