Mrs. Evaline Pennymon Quiller was born on November 8, 1931, to the late Mrs. Sallie Edge Pennymon and the late Mr. Stover Pennymon Sr. in the community of Yatesville, Upson County, GA. At a very young age, she joined the Gatlin Church. She attended Friendship Baptist Church and participated in many of the church’s activities. She was educated in the Upson County School System.

During her early womanhood, Evaline married Mr. Lucious Quiller. To their union, six children were born. Her husband preceded her in death leaving her with the children to raise. She was a loving and devoted mother and raised them with the help of her long-time, loving companion, Mr. Earl Petty, who was just like a father to all the children. Three other children were later born in the family and his relationship extended beyond helping to supporting the family until his passing. When the children were all in school, she found employment with Thomaston Mills and later at Peerless Mills. She never neglected her responsibility to her children and later to her grandchildren.

Evaline possessed a strong faith in God. She leaned on him and trusted him to always help during hard times. She was devoted to her children and grandchildren and loved her family dearly. During her leisure time, she enjoyed working in her puzzle books, watching her TV shows, especially westerns, love being a homemaker, and always stayed in contact with her sisters and brothers.

Evaline was preceded in death by her parents: her husband; her long-time companion: three children, Brenda Quiller. Jeffery Petty and Lucine Quiller; two sisters, Sallie Dennis and Alice Atwater, four brothers, Earnest Pennymon, Stover Pennymon, Jr., Clarence Pennymon and Morris Pennymon; one grand-daughter, Kimberly Michelle Quiller; one great-granddaughter. Jamylia Fortner. On Friday, January 20, 2023, the Lord called her name. She answered the call and went home to eternal rest.

Evaline leaves to cherish her memory, six children, Ms. Jo Evelyn Quiller (Kenneth Carter), Ms. Magnolia Quiller, and Mrs. Linda Hammock, Mrs. Sonja (Ricky) Scott, and Mr. Ronald (Angela) Petty all of Thomaston, GA, and Mrs. Carol Petty (Vincent) McKennon of Jacksonville, FL; one sister Ms. Josephine Pennymon of Thomaston, GA; twenty-four grandchildren, forty-five great -grandchildren and twenty-two great-great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends all who will miss her dearly. Family, miss me, but let me go- for if you had a choice, you wouldn’t come back!
