Obituary For Dr. Jasper Register

Dr. Jasper Register was born to the late Perry and Audra M. Register of Valdosta, Georgia. He attended public school and distinguished himself as a scholar at an early age. He went on graduate from his beloved Dasher High School Class as Valedictorian. Some of his academic achievements include BS Morehouse College 1955-1959, M. A. University of Kentucky, Master of Divinity, The Interdenominational Theological Center (The ITC), The University of Scotland, Edinburgh, Scotland, Ph D University of Kentucky 1974. He taught at the Eastern Carolina University level until his retirement. He also served as a chaplain in US Army.

Jasper loved his family and friends. He was a great big brother. We will miss his dry humor and singing off-key the birthday song on the phone.

Two brothers have gone before him Alphonso R. Hall and Cameron Register, also one sister Mildred F. Simon.

He leaves to cherish his memories: Dorothy B. McCaskill, Audra M. Cobb, Esther P. Harris, Gwendolyn R. Thomas, Aurelia R. Jones; sister-in-law: Mary E. Register; brother-in-law: Bro. Roosevelt Cobb and Bro. Perry L. Register.

Thanks to all of you for everything, you did on his behalf especially South Georgia Medical Center Staff, The Orchard Staff and Deacon Donnell and Mavis Thomas for the delicious meals.

May God continue to bless you and yours. We love you always “Dear Brother” and we will meet you in the morning. Your Beloved Family,
