LAWTELL – A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Lawtell, LA for Mr. Willie Fontenot, Jr., 55, affectionately known by his family and friends as “Billy”, who entered eternal rest on January 15, 2023 at his residence in Opelousas, LA.

Mr. Fontenot’s memories are being cherished by: his three sons, Willie (Jennifer) Fontenot, III of Colorado, Jamarcus (Courtney) Williams of San Antonio, TX and Brandon Broussard of Garland, TX; two daughters, Wilisha Fontenot (Dequincy) of Opelousas, LA and Melvalena Lawrence of California; his second spouse, Stephanie Barnaby Fontenot of Opelousas, LA; four step children, Destiny, Erick, Dillan and Elijah Barnaba, all of Opelousas, LA; two sisters, Cynthia R. Coleman (Reuben) and his twin Antoinette F. Boutte (Jeffery) of Opelousas, LA; a special companion, Shirley Hill of Opelousas, LA; a special cousin who was more like his brother, Kerman Richard, Jr. of Lawtell, LA; fourteen grandchildren, Darrion, Day’Jon, Mycheal, Katerikka, Christian, Emily, Jaron, Kailehi, Daylon, Roslyn, De’Waun, Dream, Ainsley and De’Nae; five great grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends.

Mr. Fontenot is preceded in death by: his parents, Willie J. and Marian Richard Fontenot, Sr.; stepfather, George Alexander; his first spouse, Evelyn Williams Fontenot; one grandson, Eric Locks, Jr.; and his step daughter, Kendesa Marie Castille.

Visitation among family and friends will be held from 8:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at Holy Family Catholic Church.
