Obituary For Beatrice Brevard Alexander

Beatrice Brevard Alexander, 68, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, January 25, 2023, at Atrium Health Union Hospital in Monroe, North Carolina. She was born on October 22, 1954 to the late Johnny, Jr. and Nannie Patterson Brevard in Liberty Hill, SC.

Beatrice was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. She served faithfully as president of the Usher ministry, directress of the Gospel Choir and Sunbeam Choir. She was also a member of the missionary ministry.

Bea was educated in the Kershaw County Public School System. She graduated with honors from Baron Dekalb High School in 1975. She was employed at Springs Industries in Lancaster, SC as a clerical clerk for over 25 years.

Left to cherish her memories are two sets of twins; Jarvis Brevard of Jacksonville, Florida and Tanise Massey of Heath Springs, SC and James Brevard (Moniquia) of Camden, SC and Jamilia Brevard of Heath Springs, SC; two sisters, Annie Patton of Heath Springs, SC and Gay Nell Brace (Bernard) of Lancaster, SC; two brothers, Johnnie Cleveland of Camden, SC and Ernest Brevard, Sr. of Lancaster, SC; four grandchildren, Jairus Brevard (Gretta), Tyrus Brevard, Jasani Brevard, and Miguel Brevard; two great-grandchildren, Kasen and Hazel; one brother – in - law, Leo Jones, and one God-daughter, Shimelia Tate.

Funeral Service will be 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, January 31, 2023 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Rev. Dr. B.L. Stinson will conduct the funeral service.

Family will receive friends 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Monday, January 30, 2023 at Stewart Funeral Home.
