Carlos Leander Moore age 68 of Newton, North Carolina transitioned on Thursday, January 26, 2023 at his residence.

He was born in Lincoln County on September 6, 1954 son of the late Rev. James Gray Moore, Sr. and Anna Shipp Moore.

Carlos was a United States army veteran.

There will be a receiving of friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 4, 2023 in White’s Family Chapel.

Survivors are six brothers, Maurice Moore (Beth) of Charlotte, NC; James Gray Moore, Jr. (Teresa) of Columbia, SC; Gary Moore (Valerie) of Lincolnton, NC; Arnold Moore of Jacksonville, FL; Fred Bernard Moore (Delphine) of Lincolnton, NC; Rodney Moore (Andrea) of Maiden, NC; two sisters, Iretha Moore of Murfreesboro, TN; Tammy Moore Bailey (Nathaniel) of Waco, TX.
