Obituary For Elizabeth Brinson

Ms. Elizabeth Louise Brinson, 74, of Waycross, Ga. transitioned this life on Sunday at Memorial Satilla Health in Waycross, Ga. Service will be held on Saturday, February 4 2023 at 1:00 PM at Emmanuel International Cathedral of Faith in Waycross, GA. Interment will be held at Oakland Cemetery with repast at the church social hall.

Dorothy Elizabeth Riggs Brinson was born September 29, 1948 in Bulloch County GA to the late Louise Smith Riggs and George Riggs, Sr. She received her education in the public school’s system of Waycross by attending Hazard Hill and Center High School.

Liz “Sistah” loved cooking, decorating and gardening. She dedicated her life to caring for her siblings, children and grandchildren. She was a home keeper as well as a babysitter for several family member.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Louise and George Riggs, Sr., two brothers, Alvin Riggs, Sr. (Ijene) and Ernest Riggs (Renay).

On Sunday, January 29, 2023 at Memorial Satilla Health Center, Elizabeth was taken from this world to receive eternal rest.

She is survived by 3 daughters, Pamela Norton, Debra Brinson, and Shandra Brinson; thirteen grandchildren, Emmanuel Norton, Anntanay Brinson, Ja’cobe Brinson, Ellanna Perry, Mercedes Perry, Dea’jsha Brinson, Amarion Brinson, Zachary Rodriguez, Joseph Rodriguez, Justin Brinson, Kiara Brinson, Kemarya Brinson and Kellvyn Brinson, 4 brothers, George Riggs, Jr. (Dorothy), John Riggs, Ottis Riggs, Sr. (Annette), and Gregory Riggs; seven sisters, Arletha Simpson, Linda Henry, Elizabeth Elaine Lewis (Michael), Brenda Taylor (Collaus), Nicole Riggs, Victoria Riggs Mills (Damond) and Prudence; two aunts, Beatrice Mosley and Bernice Mosley (Charlie); a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and sorrowing friends.
