My dear beautiful friend! We met as teachers in the Norwalk School District and became fast friends. Our relationship spanned several years, even after I moved back to Savannah, Georgia. Marie was a very creative teacher , very smart person and she was highly respected in her community. We lost touch over the years, but I never forgot her winning personality, her beautiful smile and her dedication to her profession. Marie will be missed. I offer my sincere condolences to her family, and friends. Rebecca R. Cooper

My condolences to the Ramsey family and thank you for sharing Ms. Ramsey with us. My heart has been heavy all week. My 2nd grade teacher has completed her assignment here on this Earth. Ms. Ramsey was the one and only black teacher I had while attending Norwalk Public Schools and I know she cared about each and every student she taught. Ms. Ramsey made a great impact in my life and I know I made her proud because she told me so. She was so happy I attended and graduated from Hampton University and proud of what I have become. Proud because she helped set the foundation for my love of Math, she let me know I did it well and I can do anything I set my mind to. She not only made an impact at school life she made one in my church life. I loved to hear Ms. Ramsey sing at Mt. Zion and direct, she sure enough would make sure that Sr. Choir was on point and she taught. I can see her in that choir stand right now at Mt. Zion and I know she is Heaven above glorifying the Lord in song. Ms. Ramsey expected excellence and the way she carried herself was regal. I am glad God made her and shared her with us for a little while. Rest your work is complete. ๐Ÿ’” #KendallElementary #HamptonU #MtZionBaptistChurch ๐Ÿ’”๐Ÿ’”๐Ÿ’”Kimberly Gaddy

My sincere condolences to my childhood best friend, Mae Roy, and the rest of the Ramsey family. I remember Marie as being intelligent, talented, and kind. I consider her one of the many earthly angels I've encountered during my earthly journey. During my first year of high school, Marie extended an act of kindness toward me that is forever etched in my heart. Heaven, indeed has another angel. Katherine Elliott
