Obituary For Mr. Clinnie Taylor Sr.

Mr. Clinnie Taylor Sr. 78 of Ft Myers Florida departed this life on January 22, 2023.Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 1, 2023 from 5:00 to 7 :00 p.m. in the chapel of the Hickson Funeral Home in Ft. Myers.

Graveside Services will be held Saturday February 4, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at the Forest Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery, Pinehurst GA.

Public Visitation will be held Friday February 3, 2023 from 2-6 at Coes Funeral Home in Unadilla. Professional Services entrusted to Hickson Funeral Home of Ft. Myers FL & Coes Funeral Home of Unadilla.

Mr. Clinnie “Lil Bit” Taylor was born in Pinehurst, Georgia to the late John Wesley Taylor Sr. and Mattie L. Shaw Taylor. He was the sixth of twelve children. He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Velma Luckey; two brothers, LeRoyal Taylor, Prentice Taylor; one sister, Louise Taylor Kindel; grandson, Giyonne Taylor. At an early age he joined Forest Chapel Baptist Church in Pinehurst, Georgia and later become a member of Jehovah’s Witness. Clinnie graduated from Vienna High and Industrial School (Rattlers) in 1964. After graduating he enlisted in the United States Army where he served in the Vietnam War. After being released from the service, he moved to Fort Myers. He attended the University of Florida’s Department of Electrical Engineering and became an electrician. With this education he continued to cultivate his craft and worked for Lee County Electric Cooperation for 35 years. While in Fort Myers, Clinnie met and married the love of his life, Betty Jean Howard Taylor of 54 years to this union five children were born. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Betty Taylor, Children, Elgron Lamar Taylor, Clinnie G. Taylor Jr., Myron Lenard (Sheradine) Taylor, Andrea Jannie Taylor; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nine siblings, Melvin Taylor of Unadilla, Georgia, Rosemary Taylor Flenory of Pittsburgh, John Taylor Jr. of Unadilla, Georgia, Amanda (Rufus) Crane of Warner Robins, Georgia, Mattie Flagg of Riverdale, Georgia, Geneva (David) Roberts of Albany, Georgia, Walter Taylor of Perry, Georgia, Annie Jean (Donnie) Gaye of Decatur, Georgia, and Ron Edwards of Henderson, Georgia; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
