Obituary For Ms. Jane Manuel

Ms. Jane Manuel passed on Friday, January 24, 2023. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, February 4,2023 at 1:00 P.M. at George E. Trice Jr. Memorial Chapel. Trice Funeral Home of Thomaston is in charge of all arrangements. Please keep the Manuel family in prayer.

Ms. Jane Manuel was born to the late Ms. Ossie Mae Heath Manuel and the late Mr. Rufus Manuel on May 6, 1953, in Zebulon, Pike County, Georgia.

Jane’s early education was in the Pike County School System. She later earned her GED. During her womanhood, she migrated from Georgia to New York. She was employed by the New York Department of Family and Children Services for many years. Desiring to further her education, she enrolled in college and earned an Associate degree in Criminal Justice. She was also employed by New York Department of Naturalization and Immigration. After retirement, she returned to Georgia and resided in Thomaston, GA. She was the mother of one son, Christopher and a grandmother of two.

During her leisure, Jane enjoyed performing research om the computer and going to the casino. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Hazel Manuel: and three brothers, Robert Lee Manuel. Eddie Charles Manuel and Jo Lewis Manuel. On Tuesday, January 24, 2023, the Lord called her name. She answered the call, and her spirit took flight and returned to the Father. Jane leaves to cherish her memory, one son, Mr. Christopher Manuel of Thomaston, GA; two grandchildren, Millicent Barnes and Odelia Manuel both of Thomaston, GA; four sisters, Ms. Jane Manuel, Ms. Shirley Manual and Ms. Teresa Manuel all of Thomaston, GA; Ms. Annie Manuel of Brooklyn, NY; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
