Obituary For Earnestine Fortenberry

Miss. Earnestine Fortenberry, 56, of Oakvale, Mississippi passed away on Tuesday, January 31, 2023, at Wesley Medical Center, Hattiesburg, Mississippi.

She is the daughter of the late Joe Dale and Joyce Fortenberry. She was a member of Palestine Baptist Church, Oakvale, Mississippi. She was a cashier, enjoyed Chinese cuisine, and spending time with family and friends.

Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, February 11, 2023 at Palestine Baptist Church, Oakvale, Mississippi at 12 noon. Interment will be in the church cemetery.

She is survived by: son, Omarion Fortenberry, Oakvale, MS; daughters, Chiquita Fortenberry, Oakvale, MS; Chienka Longino Peyton, Monticello, MS; brothers, Wardell Fortenberry, Prentiss, MS; Dale Fortenberry, Silver Creek, MS; Onette Lott, Oakvale, MS; Ron Fortenberry, Columbia, MS; Larry Stringer, Laurel, MS; Joe Fortenberry, Prentiss, MS; sisters, Melissa Weathersby, Oakvale, MS; Sarah Graves, Oakvale, MS; Jerry Sanders, Charlotte, NC; and eight grandchildren.

Visitation will be Friday, February 10, 2023 at Johnson Funeral Home, 1-6pm; family hour: 6-7pm.
