In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by a son, Cleveland Green, Jr., and a brother, Terry Hairston, Sr.
She was employed at E.I Dupont for many years and retired from Nilit Nylon. She was a faithful member of the Church of our Lord Jesus Christ until her health declined. She was the number one fan of the Voices of Joy. She loved spending time with all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Surviving are three daughters, Donna Price of Charlotte, NC, Linette Green of Martinsville, VA, and DeeDee (Tony) Jones of New Brighton, PA; one son, Tracy (Kara) Green of Martinsville, VA; two bonus children, Barry Grey and Lisa Hairston; one sister, Linda (Harvey) Napper, Sr of Martinsville, VA; thirteen grandchildren, Natasha (Mark) Webb, William Price, Antwan Price, Jarinda Green, Shon Green, Avalon Gallant, Nicholas Gallant, Tracy (Tiny) Hairston, Cameron (Amanda) Green, Nia Green, Raynard Price, Chase Price, and Isaiah Patrick; twenty-two great-grandchildren, Sha’Myah, ShaCoya, Lauryn, MarKiya, Ahjada, Alayah, Aliziah, Deja, Destiny, Harlem, Xander, Chosen, Zayn, Kai, Christian, AJ, Morgan, Abrielle, MaKayla, Tallas, Deven, and Adria; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and the father of her children, Cleveland Green, Sr.
A visitation service will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2023, at 11:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 12 p.m. at the C.R.V. Memorial Chapel at Hairston Funeral Home with Bishop Eugene Ramos, Sr., Eulogist. Burial will follow at Carver Memorial Gardens. A public viewing will be held on Friday, February 10, 2023, at Hairston Funeral Home between the hours of 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. Other times, the family will be receiving friends at the home, 365 Confederate Ave., Martinsville.
