Gladys Sylvester Hough, 83, entered eternal February 4, 2023. She was born on February 26, 1939, in Pasquotank County North Carolina. She was the daughter of the late Joe Nathan and Essie Powell Sylvester. She was married to the late Robert David Hough.

Gladys was educated in the Pasquotank County School System.

Left to cherish her memories are three sons, Gordon Pate (Rachel) of Jefferson, SC, Linton Hudley (Sherry) of Bethune, SC, and Darroll R. Hough, Sr. (Nikki) of Charlotte, NC; one sister, Judy Vaugh of Elizabeth City, NC; two brothers, Joe Sylvester of Boston, MA and Robert Sylvester of Elizabeth City, NC; twelve grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.

Graveside Service will be 12:00 Wednesday, February 8, 2023, Cross Road Missionary Baptist Church. Reverend Herbert Bracey will conduct the funeral service.
