Luther (BJ) Morton III was born to Luther (Butch) Morton Jr. and Jean Allen (Morton) Lampley on May 14, 1980, in Kosciusko, Mississippi.

BJ, as he was affectionately known, received his formal education from Old Dominion Christian Academy. After graduation, he chose to live his life to the fullest. He became a certified welder that led to him experiencing adventures along the Gulf and as far as the Pacific Northwest.

BJ proved to be a free spirit and enjoyed traveling and meeting new people along his journey. His friends became his family and he was loved by all for his wit, sense of humor, and kind heart. On February 2 at 7:25 a.m. the angels came calling and BJ gained his wings into heaven.

BJ was preceded in death by father, Luther Morton Jr., brother, Russell Morton and grandparents.

His memory will forever be cherished in the lives of his children: Destiney Steen, Audrey Morton and Ryan Steen. Mother, Jean (Morton) Lampley. Sisters, Brandy Morton, Audrey Blation, and Jamie Harmon. His beloved cousin, Deborah Laura Ann (Mallett) Coleman. He leaves behind a host of niece, nephews, and cousins.
