Obituary For Daisy Skrine

Mrs. Daisy Skrine was born on December 17, 1930 in Greene County to the late A G Monfort ( Biological father) and Willie Jernigan (mother) and stepfather Wilbur Jernigan, whom she loved.

Mrs. Skrine entered into eternal rest on February 15, 2023 in her home in Greensboro, Georgia after a long journey of caring for others when no one else would. Even though she had a certificate in nursing, she chose to care for those who were less fortunate, homeless, sick and unloved, with her loving late husband, Willie B. Skrine, by her side.

Mrs. Skrine had one daughter, one grandson, three brothers and two sisters to precede her in death.

Mrs. Skrine was a member of the choir and a very faithful and active member of New Springfield Baptist Church until her health failed.

She leaves to cherish fond memories of her to three children: Larry Jernigan, Dorothy Wright and Barbara Freeman; grandchildren: Sophia Turner Carithers, Zakiyyah Girtman, Terence Jernigan, Larekus (Wenchasmine) Jernigan, Yolanda (Perez) Walker, Plachette (Timothy) Scarboro, Monica Freeman, Samalia (Prentis) Stewart; a great grandson like a son, Chris (Gwen) Swain; a great nephew like a son: Ed Willie (Mac) Barnhart, Heather Martinez and Latavia Jernigan, who were there when needed, a very special niece, Toni Wright and and a number of great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and friends.

Service was Saturday, February 25, 2023, 2:00 p.m. from New Springfield Baptist Church, Siloam, Georgia with Rev. Rosemary Walker, Eulogist.
