Cordell and I worked together at Brookshires. At night after closing, all you could hear was him singing throughout the store. Always smiling and if you were in his presence, you couldn't help but smile too. Not only was he LOVED by EVERYONE, he was LIKED by EVERYONE. There's a difference you know. Rest in power Cuz. I am so sorry for the loss of Cordell. To me Cordell was a great man! . He grew up in Waters Bluff a close knit little community full of love. I can honestly say he will be missed by the whole community. He was such a kind, giving and happy man. He would always meet you with a smile and left you laughing. I will always remember Cordell, how can one forget that loud happy voice. To Lydia and his stepfather, Rufus and his kids please accept my sincere condolences. I pray that God gives you the strength you need to get through these days.

Sending up prayers of comfort and strength for the family. Cordell was such a wonderful man who always had a smile and a song for anyone he met. Little can be said at this sad time to stop the tears, but just know that he is "Singing in the HEAVENLY CHOIR" and preaching up in GLORY now. He used to be one of my patients at UT when he worked at TRANE. Felicia Thomas

So sorry to hear about this young man passing. I worked with him at Trane years ago. He would sing and bring everyone to a stop to listen to his wonderful voice. He was such a a joyful person. I am mad at him for going to Glory first. He was suppost to sing at my funeral. Cordell wait for me, I am coming before you know it. Never saw him without that big smile. Prayers for the ones that loved him. I know he is singing in Gods choir today. I know the Lord said "Well done good a faithful servant" When he arrived in Heaven. Carlyn Swaim
