He attended the Lowndes County School System. He was a faithful member of St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church until his health failed.
Brother Armstrong was employed by the Coca-Cola Company for 36 years. After his retirement, he became the owner of a Men’s Retail Clothing Store, Fashion King in Downtown Valdosta until his health failed.
On Sunday, February 19, 2023 at the HCA North Florida Regional Hospital in Gainesville, FL. Brother Armstrong was called home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Reuben Lee Armstrong, Sr. and Juanita Tomlin Armstrong; two children, Tracey Yvette Armstrong and Adrian Williams; two siblings, Reuben Lee Armstrong, Jr. and Maxine Armstrong.
Brother Armstrong leaves to cherish his memories and celebrate his life, a loving wife, Mrs. Margie Mitchell Armstrong; seven children, Felita Armstrong-Townsend, Uran (Michelle) Yearby, Xavier Armstrong, Janida (Joseph) Newby, Chantel Armstrong, Taneka (Wayne) Butler and Laquita (Michael) Green; one sister, Shirley Childress; three brother-in-laws; five sister-in-laws; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The celebration of life will be held Saturday, February 25, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church, 4541 St. Marks Church Rd., Naylor, GA. Rev. Dr. John H. Manning, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in the Harrington Rest Cemetery.
Public viewing will be held on Friday, February 24, 2023 from 2:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
