Obituary For Margie Walker

(September 11, 1945 -- February 15, 2023 )

TYLER--Funeral services for Mrs. Margie Walker, 77, will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2023, 2 pm at Greater Hopewell Baptist Church with Rev. James Hawkins serving as eulogist under direction of John R Harmon Undertaking Company.

Mrs. Walker was born on September 11, 1945 to the late Gentry and Wyomia Roberts and transitioned on February 15, 2023.

Margie attended Tyler Public Schools and graduated from Emmett Scott High School. She was a member of Greater Hopewell Baptist Church where she sang in the choir.

She is survived by six siblings: Jerry and Bennie Roberts, Josie Richardson, Georgia Collins, Carolyn Williams and Vernell Jenkins, sisters-in-law, Barbara Roberts and Rosie Lee Roberts, brother-in-law: Leonard Jenkins and Ivey Williams and a host of devoted nieces, nephews, and a very loved and devoted friend: Joyce Baylor Pickney.

Public viewing will be held on Friday, February 25, 2023, from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
