Mrs. Betty Nash passed on Monday, February 20, 2023. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 24, 2023 from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M.at Trice Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2023 at 12:00 Noon at East Mount Sinai Baptist Church. Trice Funeral Home of Barnesville is in charge of all arrangements. Please keep the Nash family in prayer. Mrs. Betty Ruth Holt Nash was born on July 18, 1948, to the late Mrs. Rupert Weaver Holt & Mr. Robert Holt in Barnesville Lamar County . Betty attended Booker High School and she was a graduate of the class of 1966. Upon Graduating, she attended Griffin Technical College to become a Nurse. She later furthered her education by attending Gordon College. Betty realized at an early age that wanted to make God her persona Lord and Savior. She joined East Mount Sinai Baptist Church, where she was a faithful servant until her earthly departure. Betty proudly served on the church missionary. On July 27, 1974, Betty met and married Mr. George Clifford Nash, Jr., and to this union, three children were born, the late George Clifford Nash III, deceased at age five, the late Nikita Lynette Nash, deceased at age three, and Darnita Denise Ruth Nash. Betty started her nursing career at Spalding Regional Hospital. She also worked as a nurse overseas in Berlin, Germany, where her husband was stationed for many years. Betty returned to Spalding to finish her career. She decided to retire from her job that she loved so dearly after over 40 years of services. During her leisure time, Betty enjoyed shopping and spending time with her family. Betty was preceded in death by her son, George Clifford Nash III, and a daughter Nikita Lynette Nash, Betty was a loving daughter, Nikita Lynette Nash. Betty was a loving daughter =, wife, mother, and friend to all who knew and met her. There wasn’t a person she met whom she didn’t impact, with her sweet personality and smile. Betty’s precious memories will live on in the hearts of: devoted husband of 49 years, Mr. George Nash, Jr., and daughters, Ms. Darnita Nash, both of Barnesville; aunt, Ms. Leola Weaver of New York; uncle, Mr. Frank (Royadell) Holt of East Point , GA sisters-in-law, Ms. Grace Nash of Griffin and Ms. Lisa Nash of McDonough: one brother-in-law, and Mr. Johnny (Alice) Nash of Griffin; and a host of nieces nephews, cousins, and many dear friends and co-workers.
