Obituary For Ms.Rosa Taylor

Funeral Services for Ms. Rosa Lee Taylor,78 of Unadilla, Georgia will be held Saturday, March 4, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at the Dooly County K-8 Gymnasium in Pinehurst, GA. Interment in the Evergreen Cemetery, Unadilla GA. Public Visitation will be held Friday, March 3, 2023, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Coes Funeral Home in Unadilla, Georgia.

Rosa Lee ''Slim'' Taylor better known as Ma Rosa Tee to her grands , great- grands, nieces, nephews and godchildren was born on February 24, 1945, in Dooly County, Georgia, to the parentage of the late Roosevelt and Verna Wiley Taylor. Rosa Lee received her schooling at the Vienna Industrial Schools in Vienna, Georgia, from which she graduated. Shortly after high school, she moved to Bronx, New York, where she resided for many years before returning to Unadilla, Georgia, in 1973. Rosa Lee was employed by Nedick’s and Scraft’s in New York. She worked for many years at the All State Truck Stop as a cook upon returning to Unadilla, Georgia. Fluent in Math and with a head for business, Rosa Lee became the county’s local community income tax preparer for many years. Her love for driving landed her a job with Ralph Bembry and Love Transportation. She went on to work at Tyson Foods in Vienna, Georgia, where she worked faithfully until she was forced to retire medically. Rosa Lee joined the Brown Chapel Baptist Church at an early age. She served faithfully on the usher board, finance committee, and as the van driver. Rosa Lee entered into eternal rest on February 24, 2023, at the Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her parents, the late Roosevelt and Verna Wiley Taylor; daughter, Cheryl Taylor; and sisters, Aretha Westbrook and Laverne Cooper. She leaves to cherish her memories: three devoted sons, Andre (Angela) Taylor, Sr., of Warner Robins, GA, Gregory Taylor of Unadilla, GA, and Darrell (Amie) Taylor of Hampton, OH; one loving and devoted daughter, Teresa Taylor of Unadilla, GA; twelve loving grandchildren, Martravious Taylor Sr., Sherri Taylor, KanTresa Taylor, Alishia Taylor, Thomas Felder, Andre Taylor, Jr., Adrian Taylor, Castonio Lucas, Sr., Jakira Taylor, Antravious Taylor, Tydrian Taylor, and Eddie Luckey; eleven great-grandchildren, Nadia Adams, Janiya Akins, London Taylor, Alasia Taylor, Ke’Asia Robinson, Mariah Lucas, Martravious Taylor, Jr., Ava Harrell, Tyliah Hodges, Kayson Hill, and Zy’Mir Lucas; one loving and devoted cousin, Regina Manning; one devoted godbrother, Oliver Manning; ten devoted friends, Lonnie Clayton, Dorothy Lester, Donald Martin, Cassandra Lawson, William Lucas, Diane Black, Annie Fudge, Rhonda Lester, Clara McGill, and Shekie Reese; three godchildren, Maxine Adkinson, Tory Taylor, and Lashonda Joseph; godsister and brothers, Ruby Manning McDougald, Rosetta Benjamin, Peter Manning, Betty Daniels, Albert Manning, Connie Daniels, Rosa Manning, Eddie Manning, and Willie Rutledge.
