Mr. John Walton, Jr. was born in Jefferson County, February 2, 1949 to the parentage of the late John Walton, Sr and Effie Williams Walton.

John took his transition on February 23, 2023 at Comfort Creek Nursing Home. He joins his parents and three siblings: Ronnie Walton, Bobbie Walton and Margaret Walton who preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 1, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. with the pastor, Rev. Dr. David Kemp Officiating

Interment will be held in the church cemetery.

Public viewing will be held Tuesday, February 28, 2023 from 3:30 - 6:30 P.M.

Mr. Walton was a native of Jefferson County and for many years worked at Leo Meadows. He was a member of the Christian family at Brinson Hill Baptist Church.

He will be missed by his daughter: Habitha Walton, Wadley, GA; a son: Tony Woods, Wadley, GA; his siblings: Henry (Deborah) Walton, Swainsboro, GA, Jimmie (Katie) Walton, Jacksonville, FL, Evon Walton, Wadley, GA; one uncle: Cleveland Williams, St Petersburg, FL; nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
