Obituary For Maria Williams

Rose Maria Williams born January 11, 1960 in Newark, New Jersey to the late Logan Durant Sr. and Rose Ann Williams. Rose Maria Williams departed from this life to rest in the arms of the lord on February 27, 2023.

At an Early age, Maria gave her life to Christ and later became a member at Bazzel Creek Missionary Baptist Church in Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina.

Maria never met a stranger; she was a kind, sweet and free -spirited person who touched the lives of everyone in a special way. She LOVED ALL OF HER FAMILY, cooking and being the head of ALL family functions/reunions. Maria could accomplish anything she set her mind to do. She will be dearly missed by many.

She leaves to cherish loving, precious memories, Her Husband of 37 years Jimmy Williams of Fuquay- Varina; Children: Mahalia (Ma'hiya) Durant of Holly Springs NC Kenya Kearney (Jeffery) of Franklinton NC, Carlos Williams (Annette) of Raleigh NC, JD Williams ( Stephaine) of Raleigh NC, and Chris Mcdougald of Angier NC. One sister Patricia Moore (Richard) of Pinehurst, Logan Durant Jr. of Pinehurst, and Leroy Durant of Holly Springs; 18 grandchildren, Khadejah Durant, Khaleiah Durant, Zion Munnelyn, Cece Belcher, My'racle Belcher, Ahmari Munnelyn, Zymir M.Lipscomb, Zakaria Kearney, Zayden Kearney and a host of grandchildren and great-grand, Nieces & Nephews, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and other relatives. She also leaves behind her dear friend Patricia Lipscomb and her Godson Pastor Johnny Clifton, Jr. Maria was also preceded in death by her parents: Logan Durant Sr., James R. Smith and Rose Williams, Grandparents John, and Lillie Bell Covington, and two sons Dwight Durant and Mohymen Munnelyn.

Visitation: 2:00 - 4:00 pm Friday, March 3, 2023 at Trice Funeral Home Chapel, 127 N. West Street in Fuquay-Varina, NC 27526.

Funeral will be held 1:00 pm Saturday, March 4, 2023 at Bazzel Creek Missionary Baptist Church, 1228 Wilbon Road in Fuquay-Varina, NC 27526.

Burial: Bazzel Creek Church Cemetery

At the family's request, due to Covid they will not be receiving visitors at the home. Please respect this request. They thank you for your thoughts and prayers.

Masks are required in order to attend the visitation and or funeral service.
