Obituary For Velma (Sinkfield) Williams

Celebration of Life Service for Velma Williams will be held Saturday, March 4, 2023 at 11AM at Temple of Faith C.O.G.I.C., 1550 Glenwood Ave SE, Atlanta, GA 303316. With remains placed in state at 10AM. Bishop Thomas L. Frazier, officiating. Entombment Washington Memorial Cemetery 700 Jordan Lane, Decatur, GA 30033. Velma was one of those rare people that would actually pick up the phone and call you because she was thinking about you or just wanted to check on you to see how you were doing if she hadn't heard from you in awhile. It seemed to me that whenever I was thinking about her and giving myself a mental reminder to give her call, my phone would ring and it would be Velma...lol! I told her she had Devine E.S.P., she told me no, she had G.O.D. Amen. Rest in Heaven Cousin. Love and prayers to my family ❤️🙏🏾...... Dianne Sinkfield

Missionary Velma Williams was a woman of God. She knew her bible and lived by the word. Every time I called her I knewI was going to hear the word of God because she loved God and His word. I will miss her. I believe the angels and saints8 in heaven are now saying "We're blessed and highly favored." My deepest sympathy to Tonya and her family and friends and to our church family.

Evangelist Velma Williams was a committed servant of the Lord. She loved to teach the Word of God, and to talk about the goodness of God. There were many times when she called me or I called her for a brief conversation and thirty minutes later we were still talking because the conversation shifted to the goodness of God. She was my pew partner at church and we enjoyed each other. She stayed in her God-given lane, and often talked about striving to be ready when God called her home. Rest well Missionary Williams. A great woman of God has received her reward and is now resting in the Lord! Missionary Williams was a great teacher - not just the of bible, but of life, and she was a friend!
