Obituary For Mable Bentley Hill
Mable Bentley Hill was born on April 23, 1940 to the late George and Rosa Lee Bentley in Quitman, Georgia. Mrs. Hill attended Pine Vale School in Valdosta, Georgia. She later married the late Howard Hill, Jr. in December of 1958.
Anyone that knew Mable Hill knew she was real and a true friend. She did not sugarcoat anything for anyone. Mrs. Hill was preceded in death by her parents, George Bentley and Rosa Lee Bentley; her brothers and sisters, Clara, Mattie Lee, Minnie Lee, George, Jr., James, Willie Mae, Artis and grandson Danny, Jr.
She leaves cherished memories to her five loving children, Beverly Miller (Ernest) of Morven, GA, Danny Hill of Barney, GA, Machelle Townsend of Hinesville, GA. Shawn Johns (Daniel) and Anita Hill both of Morven, GA; three sisters, Phoenis Blankumsee of Hahira, GA, Juanita Bentley of Quitman, GA and Blanche Dixon of Roxbury, MA; a loving sister-in-law, Catherine Rhym; Mrs. Hill also leaves her memories to 14 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, one great great grandchild and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends as well as several special care-givers of the Presbyterian Home.
A celebration of life will be Saturday, March 4, 2023 at 3PM at the Morven City Auditorium with Rev. J.B. Miller, officiating. Burial will follow in Pine View Cemetery in Morven. Visit this website or our Stevens-McGhee Funeral Home Facebook page to view a livestream of the celebration.
