Obituary For James “Bot” Gray

Mr. James "BOT” Fry

James Gray was born on September 3, 1957 in Dixie, GA to the late James L. Thomas and Elvira Gray. He attended Brooks County Schools.

After graduation, he enlisted in the United States Navy. Once he fulfilled his commitment there, he joined the United States Naval Reserves. James also was employed as a crew member of the City of Quitman. He worked there faithfully until he retired. After retiring from the City of Quitman, he found further employment at Cracklin Good Bakery in Valdosta, GA. Cracklin Good Bakery became the second job he was able to work until retirement. Afterwards, he gained employment with Doors and Trim of Quitman. He worked there until his health begin to fail him.

He was preceded in death by his step-daughter, Kisher Price, who was his caregiver for several years.

Mr. Gray leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Rose M. Gray of Quitman, GA; two step-sons, Henry Edwards (Nicole) of Waycross, GA and Antonio Edwards of Quitman, GA; four loving grandchildren, Demond Adams, Kendra Adams, affectionately known as "Piggy" by Mr. Gray, Shanique Adams and Jerome Adams all of Valdosta, GA; he also leaves to cherish his memories 23 great grands, a host of cousins and dear friends.
