Silas Williams, Jr., 66, of Jackson, MS was born December 24, 1956 to Silas Williams, Sr., and Ethel Burns Williams.

Funeral services will be Saturday, March 11, 2023 at 2:00 p.m., Blacks Chapel M.B. Church, 3425 Robinson Street, Jackson, MS 39209 with burial in Autumn Woods Cemetery, 4000 W. Northside Drive, Jackson, MS 39209.

Silas Williams was an excellent neighbor and friend. He loved this time of year and loved working in his yard and his garden, loved sitting and watching his chicken and bees. There was nothing mechanical this man could not fix and probably build from scratch. No one could smoke meats and grill as well as he could. He loved his family and spoke about them often. He was so proud of his grandson, Kensley's, accomplishments. I am going to very much miss him and our conversations about gardening, bees, chickens and cooking. This world is missing a very good man but he is with our Lord and his suffering is over so that is worth celebrating.
