Obituary For Samuel Rembert

On Thursday morning, March 9th, 2023, God saw in his infinite wisdom to call Mr. Samuel Rembert home from his earthy battles to heavenly rewards after a long illness. Born February 17, 1952, he was the son of the late Deacon Harmon Rembert and Deaconess Lydia Bell Glover Rembert. He was educated in the public schools of Lee County and graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School. After moving to New York, he worked at Avon Company for ten years, completed Truck Driving School, and became a Truck Driver for the past thirty years. Sammy was a member of the Rembert Brothers, a family singing group. He enjoyed spending time with his family, playing softball, and playing pool. He leaves to treasure his precious memories: His two daughters, Christie L. Caviness of Raleigh, NC, Lisa A. Caviness of Hamden, CT, Two Granddaughters Ariel Steed (Cedric) of Chesapeake, VA, and JuLisa Evans of East Haven, CT, Four Grandsons Dondre Donaldson of Raleigh, NC, Jeremy, Josiah & Jaysen all of Hamden, CT. Three Great Granddaughters Adrianna, Amari & Kailani Steed all of Chesapeake, VA. Nine Brothers, Hampton Rembert (Mabel) of Bishopville, SC, Harmon Rembert Jr., Willie Rembert of Sumter, SC, Levi Rembert (Evelyn) of Bishopville, SC, David Rembert (Luci) of Atlanta, GA, Parrish Rembert, Sr. (Naomi Sue) of Washington D.C., James Rembert (Debbie) and Anthony Joe Rembert (Loretta) of Sumter, SC, Charlie “Chuck” Rembert of Virginia Beach, VA. A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.He was preceded in death by his parents, Harmon and Lydia Rembert, two sisters Mary Rembert and Lottie Rembert. Two bothers Johnnie Rembert and Eddie Jack Rembert.

Memorial service will be held 1:00 pm Saturday, March 18, 2023, at Grant Hill Missionary Baptist Church 5401 Black River Rd.Rembert, South Carolina
