Obituary For Johnny Bell

Mr. Johnny Lee Bell was born on November 20, 1950 in Quitman, Georgia to the late Mr. Willie Lee Bell, Sr. and Mrs. Jennie Lee Raines Bell.

He was a Brooks County resident and was educated at the Washington Street High School in Quitman, Georgia. Afterwards, he served his country as a soldier in the United States Army from 1970 to 1972. He was a proud, honorably discharged Vietnam veteran. Johnny accepted Christ at an early age. He joined First Elizabeth Missionary Baptist Church.

He passed from this earthly life on February 28, 2023 at his residence.

He was preceded in death by his parents, The Late Mr. Willie Lee Bell, Sr and Mrs. Jennie Lee Raines Bell; his sister, Charlotte Arnold; brothers, Sylvester Bell, Sr., James Wesley Bell and Willie Lee Bell, Jr. Johnny leaves to cherish his memories, his wife of 8 years Mamie D. Ornald; his daughters, Tracy Denise Bell of Salisbury, MD, Tammy Delores Bell of Moultrie, GA; son, David Lamont Bell of Moultrie, GA; brothers, Armstrong Wright, Daniel Jeffery Bell (Yolanda), Donald Anthony Bell, Sr. (Sandra), Rufus Garrison all of Quitman, GA, John Wesley Bell of Rochester, NY; sisters, Juanita Bell Woodall, Josephine Bell both of Quitman, GA, Jennie Lee Bell Hadley (Kenneth) of Morven, GA, Sylvia Bell Terry of Rochester, NY and Ruby Franklin of Miami, FL and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends including close friends, Clint Workman, Wayne Taylor, Willie Arnold, Sr., Wallace Turner and Leon Jackson.

Visitation will be Friday, March 10, 2023 at the Stevens-McGhee chapel from 3PM-7PM.
