Vinel Dunn McBride

Vinel Dunn McBride was born on January 9, 1928 in Dooley, Georgia to the proud parents of Vanderbilt and Alma Pittman Dunn. Vinel received her education in Vienna, Georgia where she married Thomas Gillem, Sr. and with this union they produced four kids. Vinel later married Joe McBride where they had a loving relationship until his death. Vinel was loving, kind, sweet, and feisty as well as strong willed. She also loved to fish, spend time with her grandchildren, and had a warm smile that was infectious. Vinel could make you belly laugh right out of no where with some of the things she said and did. Vinel was a spiritual person who loved her family. In the early morning of Monday, March 6, 2023, the Lord called the spirit of Vinel Dunn McBride and she answered, a knock at the door that only she could answer from the Almighty God. Vinel left peacefully with family around. She was preceded in death by her husband: Joe McBride; parents: Vanderbilt and Alma Dunn; daughter: Lois Gillem Davis; son: Thomas Gillem, Jr; brothers: Otto Mann and Alvin Dunn. She leaves to cherish her beautiful and precious spirit her daughter: Katherine (Horace ) Lloyd; son: Chester Gillem; sisters: Janie Daniel, Virginia Mitchell, and Jenora Dunn; brothers : Army Dunn and Henry Dunn; grandchildren: Diane Gillem, Carolyn Gillem, Alonzo (JoAnn) Coleman, Patricia Gillem, Tiffany (Santana) Gillem-Johnson, Tori(Chris) Gillem-Hunter, Alfred Davis, Jr.; and a host of great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, cousins, nieces ,nephews and many loving family and devoted friends.

Public visitation for Vinel Dunn McBride will take place on Tuesday, March 14, 2023 from 5:00pm-7:00pm at Stone Brothers Funeral Home in Fort Pierce, FL. Funeral Services will convene on Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at Stone Brothers Funeral Home in Fort Pierce, FL beginning at 11:00am. Burial will follow in Riverview Memorial Park.
