Obituary For T.K. Watkins

Mr. T.K.Watkins was born on July 7, 1928 to the late Sebe Watkins and the late Pearly Patterson Watkins in Polk County, NC. He departed this life on March 11, 2023 at Wendover Hospice House in Shelby, NC.

T.K. was a member of Community Baptist Church in Lawndale, NC. He was employed in contruction for a number of years and mowed lawns. He enjoyed being with him family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sadie Lou Watkins; three children, Janice Watkins, Joyce Watkins and Lisa Watkins; brothers, Earnest Watkins, Robert Watkins, Brodus Watkins and Deacon Nelson Watkins and sisters, Corine Miller, Hattie Schenck, Newzeland Ross and Gladys Bines.

He leaves to cherish his memory to three sons, Charles Lee Wakins of Shelby, NC and Ray Dean Watkins and Mark Eugene Watkins both of the home; a brother, Deacon Raymond Wakins of Gastonia, NC; a sister, Marjorie Schenck of Stanley, NC; two grandchildren, Jalisa Watkins of Shelby and Kiarra Watkins of Washington, DC; ten great-grandchildren; special friend, David Littlejohn and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2023 at 3:30 PM at Community Baptist Church. Burial will take place at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM until 3:30 PM and at other times at 1004 Wilmouth Street Shelby.
