Obituary For Mary Bass Satterwhite

Mary Magdalene Elizabeth BassSatterwhite “Maggie” was granted herangel wings on March 14, 2023, as she drifted off to be with the Lord. Her final days were spent surrounded by family and friends who she touched in some way throughout her memorable life. She was 81 years young.Mary was born September 6, 1941, to Robert and Lizzie Robinson Bass. She grew up in the Fuquay Springs district of Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina, and graduated from Fuquay Consolidated School in 1959. She then graduated from Lincoln Hospital School of Nursing on September 15, 1962.She met and married James E. Satterwhite on November 22, 1963. To their union, one daughter was born, Ellen Maria, inAugust of 1967. Mary is survived by her husband, James; daughter, Ellen Satterwhite-Burton (Michael); four grandchildren, Angelo, Chaz, Bria, and Dace Burton; sister, Corrine Osborne(Norman); brother, Robert Bass, Jr. (Loretta); nieces, Kim Sangeiot (Larry) and Pam Bass; nephew, Stacy Bass; and many other relatives and friends who meant so much.She was preceded in death by her brothers, Archie Bass and Thomas “Buck” Bass.

Wake: 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm Monday, March 20, 2023 at First Baptist Church in Fuquay-Varina

Funeral will be held 1:00 pm Monday, March 20, 2023 at First Baptist Church in Fuquay-Varina, 105 N. West Street in Fuquay-Varina, NC 27526

Burial: Robinson Family Cemetery in Fuquay-Varina, NC 27526
